A woman obsessed with functional ceramics lives here :)
But that wasn't always the case. I actually come from a theatre background. I have my masters in classical theatre and even ran an independent theatre company in Toronto for several years before deciding the grind of auditions just wasn't going to work for me long term. I came to work with ceramics as a bit of a lark. Something I figured I would have a knack for, having always been the creative type, and it did not disappoint. I became totally addicted to getting better through local drop in classes until I eventually applied to a be a member at The Shop Toronto, and since then pottery has been my singular creative focus.
I love the idea of functional art. To merge everyday object in our homes, things that we handle and look at throughout each day of our lives, with my own personal aesthetic is beyond satisfying. The useful and beautiful objects we cherish in our homes inspire me to create and I absolutely love sharing my own take on these with the world. My customers and I share a bond in what we covet as beautiful for our homes and for that I am eternally grateful.
Thank you for your support and for enjoying my vision for home decor as it grows and evolves. Here's to many more beautiful pots!
