A creative that wanted more.
Have you ever felt like there's more that you could be doing to fulfill your dreams and passions? That's what brought me here. I taught in an elementary school for 3 years until my mental health got to a point where I needed to seek treatment. During my time in residential treatment I had a lot of time to reflect and ponder on my true sense of purpose and what brings me joy. The answer is creating. I love to create art and share it, so why not make a business out of that?
Now here we are! The name COPEwithcreation came to fruition because my best coping skill is creating. Art has been an important form of expression for me as long as I can remember, but especially during my healing journey. Ending the stigma that still comes with being open about your mental health is something I'm deeply passionate about. When I'm creating these pieces, no matter what it is, I'm thinking of how many others are struggling right now and how I wish I could help them discover their best coping skill.
My dream is to one day open an art studio where I can teach art classes to all ages of creatives. I want to show the beauty and release that can come from expressing yourself through art. This is only the beginning for COPE...one day I will have my own studio and I'll have all of you to thank for supporting me getting there!
Thank you for being here.
With love,
Andrea
