I’m Martyn, a qualified teacher who’s taught in the UK and across Asia. After years in classrooms, I learned a simple truth: good planning tools reduce stress, bad ones create it. Abacus Whiskers & it's parent brand Cactara exist to make the “admin tornado” smaller.

My planners and classroom resources are built around real workflows: what needs tracking, what needs space to think, what needs to be quick. I keep layouts clean, editable, and printer-friendly, and I obsess over the small things—usable sections, sensible checkboxes, and pages that don’t waste ink.

Why the name? Abacus Whiskers comes from a family-made story about a mysterious character who turns chaos into clarity. That’s the promise here: practical tools with a hint of whimsy.

And yes — I want this shop to feel fair. No subscriptions, no inflated prices, no upsells that gatekeep basic features—just well-made resources that help teachers feel more in control.
