ABOUT US
CALA is a small, family run business. Harold is our talented carpenter. He was born and raised in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. His father owns a furniture business which Harold worked at throughout his childhood. After completing his degree in Architecture at the Universidad Latina in Costa Rica, Harold married Jayme, our marketing manager, and they moved back to her home state of Minnesota. Together, they dream of creating a business that will remind people that their furniture can be more than functional; it can bring warmth and character into their homes.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
This is the place where all the magic happens. We mill salvaged trees from local sources and kiln dry the boards in our shop to ensure quality.
We take custom orders and make our own designs as well. When doing a custom design, we prepare a digital 3D model of the final product to give you a better idea of how your product is going to look when it is done.
High quality and amazing results is what we provide in our shop.
We also offer a wide selection of kiln-dried slabs for your own DIY projects—perfect for makers who want to build something one‑of‑a‑kind.
