Learn by doing, and creating one of a kind pieces one day at a time.
It all started with a trip to the hardware store. I was looking for a plant hanger but I didn't like any that were for sale. They didn't look too complicated to make, and reminiscing back to my days as a kid making friendship bracelets, I decided that I would learn how to make my own. I looked up a few how-to videos on the basic knots of macrame, and after making a few, I realized I totally enjoyed the whole process. Enough to continue making stuff and challenging my self on each piece. Getting better as I go along. So long story short, CaliCLECTIC STUDIO was born. Born out of my love and passion for learning and creating.
So fast forward to now, I am a wife, and a stay at home mom to the most amazing child ever (obviously😉), and live in paradise here on the central coast of California. I'm always creating and trying to learn a new trade. I love my family, my dog Ziggy, the beach, sunshine, the rain, wine, a stiff cocktail, coffee, photography, crochet, diy crafts and now added to this list, macrame! There is no end to what I want to create, time is my only nemesis.
So.... I will keep creating, and hopefully those that find me will see something on here that speaks to them, and gives the same joy to them that it gave me when I made it. Thank you for reading this, and if you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
