An outlet for healing through creating
As for my Esty shop, I blame my mom. She encouraged craftiness in me from a small age but passed away the day before my sister and I were to enter our first craft show. After months of mourning her loss and piles of handmade items crowding my tiny house, I needed an outlet to heal and found it here.
Fabric, along with vintage linens and sewing embellishments keep me inspired and creating. I can't walk by an old package of rick rack at an estate sale or a jar of buttons without picking it up.
The most bittersweet part I've experienced so far is that I can't tell my mom about all the blessings I've experienced through my shop. Besides communicating and creating with great customers, I've had the honor of sending one of my handmade rugs to Texas where it is displayed in a Frontier Museum.
