It's my passion.
I have always loved art for as long as I could remember. When I was little I would carry around a sketchbook and draw everything. My Mom encouraged me in every way and enrolled me in all of the classes she could at the local art guild. Once I reached high school I took every art class they had available and even spent my free periods doing extra projects. High school is where I learned about acrylic paints and I fell in love with the medium. I was also fortunate enough to be able to take a college level class in acrylics. I have a grandmother who paints and has taught me her techniques as well.
I get my supplies from a few different local stores and I am always asking for more paints and canvases as birthday and holiday presents.
This shop got started after I had a long talk with my Mom about my paintings. I do some painting almost every day and I never have room for all the ones I have done. She suggested that I open a shop and after mulling it over for a few days Canvas Voodoo was born! (My husband thought of the name)
I do all of the painting myself with absolutely no help. Occasionally my husband will help with the shipping but generally I do that myself as well. I also do all of the picture taking and listing.
I recently was able to turn our extra bedroom into my very own art studio! I have a lot more room and storage now and will hopefully be able to offer even more great paintings very soon!

Update 2015: We moved states recently and I unfortunately had to close my shop for almost 6 months but as of August I once again have my studio up and running. I am now offering even more products than ever, my first and foremost being handmade wreaths! These were something I made with my Mom a few years ago and I had everyone begging to make them one after having seen mine. All of the supplies were bulk ordered in the last few months and I've been turning out wreaths ever since!
