An Idea that Took Flight
Andy e Lisa são artesãos de meio período - Andy mais arte e design, e Lisa mais artesanato para diversão e alegria. Ambos criaram coisas por conta própria por anos. Andy é um fazedor de livros e marceneiro, e Lisa se envolveu em fabricação de joias, costura e pintura.
Em 2019, Andy teve a ideia de comprar uma Glow Forge. Ele pensou, afinal, que seria divertido criar coisas em casa para sua família. Lisa lutou para ficar por trás disso - a despesa era difícil de justificar, e onde eles encontrariam tempo? Andy e Lisa têm uma casa ocupada, trabalhando em tempo integral e criando quatro filhos. No entanto, uma vez que Lisa realmente explorou o que era possível com esta nova ferramenta, foi difícil desligar as ideias. Durante anos, ela sonhou em abrir uma loja etsy e criar coisas para os outros de forma contínua.
Eles se arriscaram, e agora os dois trabalham lado a lado na maioria das noites e fins de semana em peças para compartilhar. É uma paixão por ambos e algo que eles se perguntam como esperaram tanto tempo para mergulhar. As crianças estão envolvidas. As adolescentes não têm falta de ideias sobre como comercializar. Há até itens na loja que são projetados para adolescentes!
Os Roths estão comprometidos com seus clientes. Eles são incrivelmente gratos por cada clique, consulta e compra. Eles entendem o valor dos seus dólares suados. Andy and Lisa are both part-time crafters - Andy more art and design, and Lisa more craft for fun and joy. Both have created things on their own for years. Andy is a book maker and wood crafter, and Lisa has dabbled in jewelry making, sewing and painting.
In 2019, Andy had the idea to purchase a Glow Forge. He thought, after all, that it would be fun to create things at home for their family. Lisa struggled to get behind it - the expense was hard to justify, and where would they find the time? Andy and Lisa have a busy home, both working full-time and raising four children. However, once Lisa really explored what was possible with this new tool, it was hard to turn the ideas off. For years, she had dreamed of opening an Etsy store and creating things for others on an ongoing basis.
They took the plunge, and now the two work side-by-side most evenings and weekends on pieces to share. It's a passion for them both and something they wonder how they waited so long to dive into. The kids are even involved. The teen girls have no shortage of ideas on how to market. There are even items in the shop that are teen-designed!
