An Idea that Took Flight
Andy and Lisa are both part-time crafters - Andy more art and design, and Lisa more craft for fun and joy. Both have created things on their own for years. Andy is a book maker and wood crafter, and Lisa has dabbled in jewelry making, sewing and painting.
In 2019, Andy had the idea to purchase a Glow Forge. He thought, after all, that it would be fun to create things at home for their family. Lisa struggled to get behind it - the expense was hard to justify, and where would they find the time? Andy and Lisa have a busy home, both working full-time and raising four children. However, once Lisa really explored what was possible with this new tool, it was hard to turn the ideas off. For years, she had dreamed of opening an Etsy store and creating things for others on an ongoing basis.
They took the plunge, and now the two work side-by-side most evenings and weekends on pieces to share. It's a passion for them both and something they wonder how they waited so long to dive into. The kids are even involved. The teen girls have no shortage of ideas on how to market. There are even items in the shop that are teen-designed!
