Frequently asked questions

Sizing for Giant Flowers

♥ So the way my flower sizing works is to subtract the use of the XL petal to downsize to a large.

Likewise, you can subtract the XL and large petal to downsize to a medium and so forth with a small.
You can still create 3 or 4 layers to keep the flower full, but only use 2 or 3 of the smaller petal sizes instead of all 5 for an

♥ You can always enlarge petals using the PNG image in any basic program or the SVG in any supporting program or cutting machine software.
Keep in mind that the petals have to remain small enough to cut out on 8.5x11 or 12x12 card stock.

♥ Smaller bouquet size flower templates measure around 3-4 inches. Each listing contains more specific to that flower.

What paper and how much do I use?

♥ I use 65lb weighted card stock.
You can find a variety of options at craft stores.

♥ All templates are designed to be able to print on any home printer or can be emailed to your local printer if you do not have a home printer.

Sheets of paper per flower?
♥ It may vary slightly for everyone but you will use about 16-17 sheets of 8.5 x 11 cardstock for an XL flower.
About 10-11 sheets when downsizing to a large flower and about 5-6 when you downsize to a medium.

Exceptions to this may be the rose designs which may require more paper. Ella rose requires up to 22-24 sheets of 8.5 x11 for an XL flower. If you have further questions please contact prior to purchase.

Refunds & Customer Service

I am always here to help my customer however I am able.

♥ Please understand that I will do everything I can to ensure success with your order however, I am not a tech support specialist nor am I familiar with ever computer or printer type.

♥ Please make sure you have supporting software and clear understanding before placing any orders.

♥ Above all PLEASE do not leave a negative review without consulting me and giving a chance to help you!

I can't be held responsible if you do not send me a message and allow me to help.
Thanks! :)

Flower Instructions

♥ I have designed these flowers around a universal building method that can applied to all the giant flowers in the shop.

♥ The PDF instructions are included with all giant flowers.
There are also SEVERAL SPECIFIC VIDEOS on my Youtube channel for many of the giant paper flowers and centers. Any flower that does not have a specific video can be easily build using the universal PDF method.
♥ And if you have purchased a small bouquet size flower I always have a specific video on my channel provided for those.

♥ You can access my Youtube channel here:

If you have any concerns about this please feel free to message me.

Do I need special software to open an SVG file?

♥ Yes. If you are planning to use the SVG with a cutting machine you will need to make sure your machine is compatible with using SVGs. Cricut design space is compatible with SVGs as well as Silhouette designers studio.

♥ If you are using silhouette studio please use the PNG image or contact me to acquire a dxf file (I do not included dxf with the original downloads simply because it's a lot of files and overwhelming to some of my customers. I am happy to provide upon request.

♥ Often a third party program will be required to make the job easier ( I recommend Sure Cuts A lot or Make it Cut)

PDF vs. Cutting Machine Sizes

♥ All templates in my shop measure the same whether using a machine or the PDF.
♥ Anything I cut on my machine is scaled to the same size on an 8.5x11 page just like the PDF for hand cutting.

♥ If you are using a cutting machine the petal will not scale in to the same size as I saved them because Cricut/Silhouette can read the files at the larger scale (this may not happen for everyone).

♥ If you need a petal layout guide for a cutting machine you can follow these 2 videos.

WHERE IS MY ORDER?

♥Your zip files can be found right after payment clears. Etsy will send an email with a receipt that can take you to your files.
You can also find your files for download anytime under your Etsy account> purchases.
♥♥ Please download on a computer and not a phone. If you need help un-zipping the files please simply contact me and let me know which file type you prefer (PDF or SVG) and I will email them.

Paper Dresses

IMPORTANT TIPS FOR PAPER DRESSES
1. If you are hand cutting and want your bodice to be as large as shown in the tutorial video you will need to send the PDFs to a printer and use the included “ledger size” PDF. Make sure to buy 12 x 12 inch cardstock in this case.
2. You can print at home and use the 8.5 x 11 bodice. In this case the dress will be about 50% smaller.
3. The bottom skirt is made using any one of my giant flower designs. The choice is up to each person. No matter which flower template you choose the same steps can be applied to build the dress.
4. Embellishments are also totally up to the maker. Rhinestones, ribbon, smaller paper flower designs, etc.. all make great decorations.
5. Check out our blog post on the dress as well.

IMPORTANT: RESIZING PETALS FOR MACHINES

Cutting software does not read the files as I save them.
PLEASE KINDLY understand this is beyond my control since I do not own Cricut or Silhouette.
I have created ease of use though for this issue.
If you look inside the zip downloads included you will see a Tips for Cutting Machines PDF that will help with this.
The exact petal measurements can be found in the specific flower's Youtube video.
This only takes a couple moments to plug in the sizes and then you can save your project so you don't have to repeat the process.
Some customers may not be happy with this but like I said I cannot control the software. Plugging in the dimensions literally takes less than 5 minutes.
Please kindly contact if you have further questions.
