I'm the original Mr. Fidget, crafting great bicycle chain fidget sculptures since 1991.

In 1991 my bicycle chain broke, and when I went to put a new chain on, it was a few links too long. I bought a tool to cut the chain, and put the extra few links in my pocket. They jiggled around in there with my keys, and I had the idea of connecting the two together. When I did, the results became "The Original Linkey Fidget", which I've been making and distributing ever since. I continued to tinker with bicycle chain and designed dozens of different kinds of "fidget toys". I'm just one person though, and try as I might, I was never able to really scale my designs to traditional manufacturing. Now more than 30 years later, I continue to make FUNctional art from bicycle chain. They have been copied, and whole companies have been formed to recreate just a few of my designs.
