Welcome! I’m Dr. Lori Buckland, the creator of Character Ed Solutions — and I’m so glad you’re here.

As an educator and lifelong learner, I spent years teaching in classrooms where I saw firsthand how powerful social emotional learning (SEL) and character education can be. I watched children grow not just academically, but in confidence, empathy, and resilience — qualities that help them thrive in school and in life.

But I also noticed something:
There were amazing tools in my mind… but not enough practical, teacher-friendly resources in teachers’ hands.

So I started building them.

With a PhD in education, a heart for kids, and a deep respect for classroom teachers, I launched Character Ed Solutions to help educators and families bring SEL into meaningful everyday moments.

Each resource — including this Sugar Skull Coloring Book — is designed not just to fill a lesson plan, but to nurture curiosity, kindness, and understanding.

Why I Create What I Create
I believe:

Every child deserves to feel seen and understood
Learning emotional skills is as important as learning reading and math
Teachers should have tools that work in real classrooms

My goal is simple:
Make SEL engaging, doable, and joyful for every educator and learner.
