Oh Yes! Wouldn't we all love to know the story behind every vintage item. I know I certainly do and go to great lengths to find out as much information as possible about every item i purchase. It's more than just a manufacturing date; its the person who owned the item that makes it more unique. This is what I love about Vintage.......the story. Vintage makes my heart happy.

For as long as I can remember from a little girl at the age of 6 i loved everything that looked old, worn, or just unique. I can still picture the lamps with shades we were selling at our yard sale on Landis Avenue in Vineland, New Jersey (across from the old Jamesway.) They were from a relatives home who was about 65 then (1980.) I can remember staring and staring at those lamps and asking if I could have them. Of course I was told no and I'm sure they thought I was being silly. I was certainly dead serious and till this day still think about those lamps with the beautiful shades. I'm very happy that i never let go of what others thought was silly. I truly get butterflies while at flea markets, estate sales, and yard sales. I don't always buy things because i know what they are or because i could make a few bucks; i buy things that i like and that speak to me. If i had to research everything before i bought it that would be a job and take the fun out of it. I Love Vintage!
