How I Came Into The Crafting Circle
I've always been in the the video gaming world since I was young to even now. Selling games on ebay and at flea markets. Specializing in DS games. I originally got into buying charms due to lack of anime charms out there at the time for myself. I like to switch out my charms every so often and couldn't find anything affordable and likable ones. I did some research and started my charm investment. Adding them to DS styluses was the first thing I did, making lots of variations; which color stylus would match each charm. I thought what else could I do with these charms. Earrings, keychains, necklaces, phones plugs came next. I was just a beginner and didn't consider myself as a crafter but I started investing in more charm related products and grew to thinking of new ideas to do with them.
Around the end of 2012, I was feed up with ebay and venturing out on my next site adventure (I tried a few in the past but didn't stick long enough to fall in love > hint; no sales no love). I remembered there was a site called etsy that was for crafters so I decided to check it out again and did a lot of research before making an account. I put a couple of things up and WHA BAM!!! I got my first sale and it was a huge order; I was jumping for joy and that just made me want to put more up and improve from year to year. ***But I have to say to all those new sellers out there ... The first couple of months is tough and you get very few sales if any but if you keep with it and keep adding more stuff you will grow with your shop too as I have.
Later in the years I upgraded my shop to offer anime charms (which I love anime) and then pokemon (which I also love) and then figurines. And just always thinking what else could I offer that my buyers would also love and appreciate. Now that I consider myself as a crafter when I go into a store I always think "Can I make something out of that?" I am always thinking outside of the box and I have to thank etsy for that.
