Because I'm just so picky, you can be too!
I've always loved yarn, but I never really had the chance to do anything more than making a scarf or blanket here or there with it, though I've always day dreamed of fulfilling orders. My husband graduated college and got into his field, which enabled me to stay home and focus on the children and their activities, instead of us balancing who's with them when.
Being home more I've been able to work more on my knitting and crochet. Which has become more and more demanding for me because I'm insanely picky and I just don't like most of the items that are for sale at stores. I'd rather just make my own exactly how I like it, and it dawned on me. I'm positive there are more out there just like me, who just doesn't want to conform to whichever fashion trend is going on now.
Soon after I expanded past scarves and blankets, I learned more about the yarn itself, and it quickly became an obsession. Learning all I could, the difference in the crimp, and micron numbers and it slowly made me learn what I liked. Which made my search for yarn a lot more narrow considering my love for brightly colored yarn. I couldn't find quite what i was looking for in the fiber base/weight I wanted so I decided to dye it for myself. After doing this for a little while, the sales person in me started nudging me, "Hey, I bet there are plenty of other people just like you out there who would love to partake in your yarn the way YOU like it." So I decided to start offering it to others, which it turns out, is truly what I'd like to do with my time over anything else. Yes I will take an order here or there, but I'd much prefer dyeing yarn! And I'm ecstatic to take my business in that direction.
I've focused on striving to maintain the ultimate customizable shop. You pick your fiber, size, color, for which ever designs I have up (which I'm constantly adding to.) So it will be exactly what you are looking for. :D
