Hi, my name is Angela :)
I am a native Oregonian. I live in a small rural area in Oregon where I operate my Etsy shop from my home sewing studio. My home is smoke free and animal friendly.
I've been sewing my whole life but mostly for myself and my family. When my daughters were in high school, they encouraged me to offer my items online and I've enjoyed selling online since 2008. I started on eBay and then switched to Etsy in 2012, selling handmade costumes and accessories in my other Etsy shop, www.etsy.com/shop/BlackLilyCat. I started this shop under the name Chevron Scarf when my daughters asked me to sew them chevron scarves. Chevron Scarves were super popular for a few years but then I started offering lots of other fabric patterns and renamed my shop, Whimsicalli.
Lately, I try to sell items that are on trend, in fabrics and styles that I personally like. If I wouldn't be proud to wear or use an item myself, I won't sell it. I produce everything that I sell in my shop. I find fabrics that I like and create my own patterns when I am inspired to try a new idea. All work is done by me, including: buying supplies, creating patterns, cutting fabric, sewing, ironing, packaging, and shipping. At this time, I am not accepting custom orders because they take too much time away from my already busy schedule.
The items listed in my shop are ready to ship so I ship within 1 business day (Monday - Friday, excluding postal holidays) via USPS. I ship via USPS Ground Advantage mail, which recently replaced First Class mail at the postal service. There is an option to upgrade to Priority Mail shipping at checkout.
