The Story of ChiKnitty

Growing up in Kansas City, I was surrounded by a talented and artistic family. I watched my mom and and her sisters paint, quilt and weave baskets. I have wonderful memories of tagging along when she visited her friends' homes as they created and laughed. I loved every minute of it. Back then, I was always making something--friendship bracelets, hair ties, cross stitch.

Fast forward "a few" years and I'm living in Chicago looking for my own creative outlet. I saw a knit scarf in a store and inspiration hit me. I was going to teach myself how to knit. It has given me so much joy that I needed to share it with the world. There is nothing better than cozy yarn and the sound of the needles working.

I hope you enjoy my creations. I have loved making them for you.
