Grandpa started it
My love for carpentry started early on as Grandpa’s Helper. Nothing will build a bond quite as quickly as being taught to work with your hands by someone you love and I was hooked the moment he gave me my fist tool belt and showed me how to use a hammer.
In 2010 I entered into an apprenticeship and made my move into the trades legit. I received my Red Seal in carpentry, working in all aspects of the trade from framing to finishing and into restoration but it was after years of building what other people wanted that I decided that was that and began to put my blood, sweat, and tears (because there are plenty of each in anything of real meaning) into the kind of carpentry I loved.
ChickaDilly Designs has been in operation since 2018, creating eclectic décor for patio and garden, doing it’s best to combine modern design with Old School Joinery and the beauty of nature.
