Creative individual living in Los Angeles putting her hobbies on sale.
Like most Italians, Christina LaRocca can not help but share her passions with others. The daughter of a interior designer/singer and a carpenter, she has watched her parents make a living from their creativity and skill.
One day as she was commuting to work in Manhattan, she found herself walking past a magical store called Beads of Paradise. As a lover of beads and knickknacks, Christina would poke her head in, and marvel at the wide variety of stones and colors. She would say to herself, if only I knew what to do with these!
Then one day, they posted a sign in the window that they were hiring. With excitement, she went instead and told the manager, "Please don't give this job away, I will be back tomorrow with my resume!" The next day she was hired and continued to work there from 2006-2011. She eventually became their in house teacher and taught the store's "Findings Crash Course" and "Advanced Wire Wrapping" for about 3 years to hundreds of students, many of whom went on to start their own jewelry making business.
Some time has gone by, and the scenery has changed since then, but the desire to inspire others has not. Over the years, Christina has also learned to paint, sew, garden, and crochet, among other crafts. She hopes you will enjoy shopping around her store as much as she enjoyed creating everything in it.
