Sharing well-researched whimsical treasures and their histories.
Hello! I'm a one-person operation trying to help make ends meet with this shop. I put a lot of effort into educating myself on the items I'm reselling here. I have a research-based graduate degree and I am nothing if not research-savvy! That said, I'm always upfront about what information I have and any space for doubt that exists. I ultimately love sharing whimsical treasures and their interesting histories in a way that makes vintage shopping transparent, fun, and fairly priced.
I love diving into estate sales and finding treasured items which I research, identify, and lightly restore; such as polishing metals, oiling music box gears that have slowed with age, or changing watch batteries. I then photograph the items and write up the descriptions.
The combination of history, culture, art and style that comes together in this venture is something I never tire of, and I'm always learning new things! These are the anecdotes you will find in each item description for my shop, after the description of the item itself. I note any interesting historical, cultural, or natural phenomena relevant to the item because I think it's too interesting not to include!
Why buy from my shop?
By sourcing from local estate and moving sales I'm able to support local families in transition while also having access to the individuals who know most about the items history. I learn some very interesting anecdotes this way.
I also foster and volunteer with animals from Denver Animal Shelter, as well as volunteering with several local park and garden organizations such as Denver Parks & Rec and Colorado Parks & Wildlife where I utilize my degree in horticulture to support maintenance and improvement of local green spaces.
