Additional policies and FAQs
The majority of the pieces you see listed in my shop are made from predominantly reclaimed materials, which vary from individual drawers retrieved from an old damaged unit, to salvaged oak floorboards to old bed heads upcycled into something kore desirable for modern day homes. Each piece is a one-off - even the cycling themed tables which are a set of 5 each has it's own unique look.
As such there will potentially be the odd hole here and there from the woods' previous life, but this adds to it's story.
Where new timber is used, eg the steamed pear tree handles on the cycling tables, the wood is sourced locally.
The typical lead time for specially commissioned pieces is 3-4 weeks but I would be in a better position to tell you lead time on application. This means your furniture typically ships out within this time frame. Time in transit varies depending on where in the world you are and how much you choose to spend on the delivery method.... But generally I use UPS and they generally deliver within about a week. If you need furniture by a certain date, please submit a request prior to purchasing. We do our best to accommodate but do not make any guarantees.
All my listings come ready assembled unless I specify otherwise, but instructions for assembly would be inclosed - if you are local to Manchester,UK I can come assemble free of charge!
How are the pieces finished
This would depend on the piece itself but they are usually finished with a hard wearing acrylic varnish or for a softer finish, Danish oil. Either way, a simple waxing is all that is required to maintain the look.
