Christian Artifacts for Christians Around The World
We are very fortunate to live in an area that abounds with Christian artifacts as it lies on the Pilgrim Route that runs through Europe and on to The Holy Lands.
For many centuries pilgrims have wound their way through here and also on the way back. That has meant that many Christian items have collected here. In addition we are close to Lourdes and Notre Dame de Garaison where two of the appearnces of The Virgin Mary took place. Lourdes is world famous, Garaison not so.
I became a committed Christian just a few years ago and when my wife Diane set up her Etsy shop, LaCassoulere, I wanted to set up a site specifically for Christian items for Christians throughout the world. I speak English, of course as I am an Englishman, German because I lived there for many years and French because I live here.
I carefully select the things I have on the site to reflect the wide range of items available.
Should there be anything that is not here that you might like please let me know and I will try to find it for you. Many of the medallion, rosaries and crosses have been to Lourdes, either because they started life there in one of the many artisan workshops or because I have taken it there on one of my frequent trips.
I try very hard to describe and photograph every item as accurately as possible and love doing the research to discover, where possible, the history of the piece because I think the story is almost as important and interesting as the article itself.
