A tree topper should be the crowning jewel on your Christmas tree.
11 years ago my lighted Christmas tree star broke, and I was amazed at the lack of options on the market for these items. Most are cheaply made, not lighted, and have no way to firmly attach them to your tree! So, as an avid crafter, I decided that I would make a collection of stars and toppers, most lighted, and with a strong way to hold them straight on the top of your tree.
I started collecting materials in Dec. 2011, and began working on design and construction in July 2012. Each star and topper involves hours of cutting and painting stems, securing them 2 ways inside your star, adding lights, and then all of the finishing touches you are able to see! I use wire, strong, heat-proof glues, and sturdy construction, and I choose long life, plug in lights for high quality, long lasting toppers. I love the creative process of building something and making beautiful, well made decorations for someone's home.
In 2016, I took a couple of doll making courses and I was hooked on sculpting! I make angels with a strong, air dry clay and hand paint them, then make unusual, beautiful colored wings and dresses for them. I also have a bit of an obsession with Upcycling Barbies into toppers, and with providing handmade Candy themed tree toppers and bows as well. Each year, I try to have an unlimited supply of my best selling toppers, but I can only make and store so much! Thank you for reading about my journey!
