My name is Jordan (they/them), I’m the artist behind Chronically Queer Co(mmunity) and I’m so glad you’re here. I began my love affair with lines in the wake of a health crisis. As my body deteriorated, I felt like I was watching core pieces of myself and my identity slip through my fingers. My life changed when I found New Haven artist Tracie Chong’s abstract line work. I was hooked and have been since.
My queer, non-binary, and disabled labels each hold huge pieces of who I am, what I believe, and how I live my life. They feel like the lines I draw: tangled, intimate, and without beginning or end. There isn’t a whole me without the embracing all of the parts of all of who I am. Chronically Queer Co. is the product of all of this, of all of me. I am excited to be sharing my lines with you.
