I’m Ciera Holzenthal. Graphic design and blogging is what I do for a living, but simply put, I love creating.
When I’m not designing for small businesses, writing blog posts or bringing people together through local events here in New Orleans, I thrive on exploring my creative spirit. DIY projects, crafting, photography, typography, travel and festivals are just a few of my favorite ways to get inspired and discover new things. My commitment to personal and professional growth is insatiable—I dream big and always strive to learn more.
Creativity and entrepreneurship are in my blood. My parents have run a creative business together for over 30 years. Their drive and vision has inspired me in so many ways, encouraging me to start art classes in second grade and attend the New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts while in high school. Combining my work ethic and knack for organization with my creativity and eye for design, I settled on graphic design as the field I wanted to pursue in college.
After a few years in the advertising world, I took everything I’d learned and decided to start my own company. Ciera Design Studio officially launched in 2010, offering full-service graphic design services. Visual brand development for creative businesses and passionate entrepreneurs is my specialty. There’s nothing quite like creating a captivating, cohesive brand identity for a business, allowing it to fulfill its greatest potential and skyrocket to new heights.
I decided to open an Etsy shop to offer my designs to a wider audience! I think that Etsy is a great place for people to find designers that may not know where else to start.
I love that I can offer pre-made templates and designs as well as totally customizable items from web banners and logos to wedding invitations, personal stationery and event branding!
Beyond the studio, I craft fresh content for my lifestyle and design blog. It’s the space where I share the behind-the-scenes scoop on my life as a business owner and dish on what exhilarates me as an artist. As founder of The Made in Mind Social and co-founder of Pursuit Creative Conference, I guess you could say I’m passionate about community and collaboration. My amazing clients, fellow business owners and other creatives truly inspire me and bring life to my design work, blog and creative interests.
