Welcome to Cinder + Salt--where style means sustainability! Some quick, fun facts about our shop:

►►►Cinder + Salt is built on the residue of a weekend well spent: the scent of campfire on your clothes and the taste of salt water on your skin. Here you will find a collection of mens, womens and childrens apparel for folks with a passion for the planet and transparency in the products they buy.

►►►All prints are designed by hand: either hand-cut from card stock or drawn using an ultra fine point Sharpie before being translated to print. Designs are then hand screen printed with love using reclaimed ink in our low-impact print shop on a 30+ year old manual printing press.

►►►Many the inks we use are over 30 years old, and we do not intend to buy any more; that is just one of the many ways we aim to limit waste and promote sustainability.

►►►The majority of our styles are made from an eco tri-blend: a unique combination of organic cotton, recycled polyester and rayon, resulting in a softer feel than you'll ever encounter.

Very fast shipping and beautiful design. The only thing I would mention is that the bottom (waistline) is open on the sides for a flowy look which is not clear in the photo. I like a traditional fit so I got it altered. I have purchased in the past from this company also and absolutely love their designs and quality. My favorite Etsy seller:)

Cinder & Salt was founded in January of 2014 when I decided I needed freedom & transparency to be more than just words. After opening and running a small town boutique for 2 years I decided to close up shop & buy out my dad’s print studio. In order to truly lower the carbon footprint of my product, I wanted to control every aspect of creating it.

The name, Cinder & Salt, was inspired by the residue of a weekend well spent; the scent of campfire on your clothes and the taste of salt on your skin. I always aim to capture the essence of freedom and gratitude in my hand-drawn designs. Cinder & Salt also offers custom screen printing services and strives to serve folks with the same passion for eco-friendly, sustainable, transparent products.

I've spent my life picking up as many trades, skills, bits o' advice & tools as I could. I learned to print when I was 10, and 20 years later bought the print shop from my dad. I design for the lifestyle I love in hopes that you'll love it too!

Brenda started at cinder + salt as our print shop ninja, helping with general maintenance and getting her toes wet in screen printing. She's now our product integrity manager and personally makes sure each and every product hits the mark.
Eileen

Creator

Eileen began her journey with cinder + salt as our window display coordinator and has graduated to assisting with printing the size labels inside all our shirts. Trust me, its an exhausting and wildly valuable job!
