Your sign will have the same overall design, dimensions and white carved lettering shown in the photographs, but the wood grain, color, knots, nail marks, saw marks and natural weathering will vary. These differences are part of the beauty and character of reclaimed wood and make every sign one of a kind.

Yes. Every CitySignCo sign is made from genuine, sustainably sourced reclaimed wood salvaged from deconstructed houses and commercial buildings. The natural grain, knots, nail holes, saw marks and color variations are part of the wood’s history and give each sign its own unique character.

The letters are carved directly into the reclaimed wood—not printed or applied as vinyl. After carving, each letter is carefully painted white to create a clean, lasting contrast against the natural wood.

Yes. We can create a custom sign for nearly any city, town, neighborhood, lake, island or meaningful place. Longer names may require smaller lettering, but we’ll make sure the design remains balanced and easy to read. Please enter the name exactly as you want it carved and double-check the spelling before placing your order.

Yes. Each sign comes with two sawtooth hangers installed on the back, so it arrives ready to hang. Wall fasteners are not included, since the correct type depends on your wall surface.

The sign is designed for indoor use. It may be displayed in a covered, protected outdoor area, but it should not be exposed directly to rain, snow, high humidity or prolonged sunlight, as these conditions can affect the reclaimed wood and painted lettering.

Because each sign is made to order, production typically takes 5–7 business days before shipping. During busy seasons or for custom designs, production may take a little longer. Your estimated delivery date will be shown at checkout.

We accept returns of standard, non-personalized city signs. Please contact us through Etsy and ship the sign back within 14 days of delivery.

Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs and for securely packaging the sign for its return. Returned signs must be unused, unaltered and in their original condition. A refund will be issued after the returned sign has been received and inspected.

We do not accept exchanges. If you would like a different city, size or letter color, please return the original eligible sign and place a new order.

Signs created with wording specifically requested by the buyer are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged. This includes custom cities, towns, neighborhoods, lakes, street names, family names, business names and other personalized wording.
