I launched my own design studio ‘CLABO' < CLAY + collaboration + LAB: Design lab collaborating with various fields through the medium of clay with plasticity> in 2012, showed popularized blockbuster exhibition plan products by collaborating with international museums, domestic gallery agency and media after introducing the CNC installation with 3D prototype development, vacuum agitator and computer mold manufacturing technique. We try to product familiar and popularized art goods through "the joining of art and daily life".
Especially, <Clabo ceramic jewelry> is product created based on unrivaled research data combined with modern techniques and traditional handcraft techniques such as mold design, firing stilts development, decorative technique established by the long time research.
Casting mold produced by calculating shrinkage rate with computer designing which enabling mass production has cut molding costs drastically, polished similar to opaque gemstone color by glazing process of handcraft process, and finalizing process with 24K gold, white gold provide goods and design services with individualization, differentiation which the consumers and company wants.
" Varimm " is Korean cultural goods brand launched in 2010.
The word "varimm" came from Korean word meaning "Gradation" which is type of Korean traditional coloring technique. Varimm produces design goods combining beautiful oriental pattern and philosophy with hope to converge "tradition and modern".
Korean cultural art gifts such as fabrics, jewelry, ceramic accessories designed and produced by mother who drew Korean folk painting and two daughters who are museum curator and ceramic designers started to be sold in <National Museum of Korea_ Cultural Foundation Art Shop> in 2010 and now entered domestic and international museum shops and department stores.
Varimm pursues glamorous and delicate oriental beauty in patterns and curves appearing in traditional craft technique. We have done modernistic interpretation based on Binnyo and Tteoljam ( Korean traditional hair pins and accessories in Joseon Dynasty), accessories of Kings and Queens from Silla Dynasty and oriental pattern which symbolizes good luck, health, longevity and prosperity.
