Not only did my order arrive in 2 days, the items have bested my expectations ten fold. These pieces are beautiful and would be a deal at four times the price. Would and will buy from again, best purchase I have ever made on etsy.

About

Clockwork Art: Artist & curator by trade. Imperfect by choice.

I'm Braden, an artist & curator based in Seattle, WA. I work primarily in watercolour.

INSPIRATION:
I am imperfect by choice, and a cog in the machine of human mythology by default. I draw my inspiration from the peculiar minutiae of the human form, symbolism and mythology, the empty spaces left by missing friends, and the intricate elegance created by the convergence of biological and mechanical elements.

I love painting animals. I grew up with a menagerie, and I have always been fascinated by the colours & textures of feathers & fur and the fun little quirks that make each creature unique. My favourite muse is my little black Diesel kitten. Being adorable is her job, and she takes it very seriously. Painting my own kitty inspired me to start painting pets for friends and family as well; through Clockwork Art I now have the pleasure of painting animals from all over the world!

PROCESS & MATERIALS:
All of my materials are archival and acid-free. For original watercolours I use heavy-weight coldpress paper and professional artist grade paints. I have my work professionally scanned and colour-proofed at Bellevue Fine Art Reproduction (www.bellevuefineart.com) and reproduced in the form of fine art prints and note cards. BFA uses cotton rag watercolour papers and Epson UltraChrome giclee inks, so my prints and cards are museum quality and always resemble my original pieces as closely as possible.

For more info about me, my work, and Seattle art events, feel free to send me a Convo or check out my website (www.clockworkart.com), my non-profit organisation (www.seattleartscoalition.blogspot.com), and my blog (www.art-scene-seattle.blogspot.com).

Cheers!
