I am Coco and Cocoa
About 20 years ago I fell in love with yarn. It was soon after my twins were born. I was looking for a hobby. Something that could just be mine. Something to do in those quiet moments.
My husband bought me one of those teach yourself to knit books. I sat on the bed with my yarn and needles and read the book. It took some time, but I was so excited when what I was seeing on my own needles started to look like the pictures in the book.
For many years I just made gifts for family and friends. But with lots of prodding from friends I eventually took the step and opened an Etsy shop. It was an amazing decision. I found a community of other makers. We held in person and online events. It's been such a wonderful experience meeting other makers!
Over the years I have gone from selling finished items to mainly selling patterns. Each of the patterns here on Etsy has much more detail and information on my blog, which you can find at juliemeasures.com. You'll find notes, links to some of my favorite tools, and more. (You can also read the about me there and find out where I got my unusual shop name!)
Of course, if you ever have a question about a pattern, please send me a message. I'm always happy to help!
