How it all started...
When I was a child I remember lying on the floor so my mom could measure & draw out patterns to make clothes for me. I was around 9 when I asked her to stop, it broke her heart (I was growing up) & she lost her sewing helper. For my 18th birthday she gave me a sewing machine & told me " I know this is not what you were expecting for your birthday, but now you are an adult & you will need this some day". I started sewing again when I was pregnant with my 2nd child & made his cradle & crib bumper sets, then I kept going. I opened my business when he was 1 started making baby products, then a few years later started children's clothing. Now my daughter is older ( and I taught her to sew) & we both wanted to make dresses for ourselves. So we did & loved the reaction so I started a women's line! My mom now suffers from Alzheimer's Disease & loves seeing pictures I get from customers & we talk about sewing. She reminds me often "remember when you didn't want to sew anymore & look at you now". I know she is a proud momma & I wouldn't be where I am today without her :) Also at the age of 38 I became a breast cancer survivor, so check yourself!!!
