From Europe To America with a Trail of Colors !
Being a seamstress and having started my own business in 2012, evidently Etsy was a perfect outlet for me in the fresh and rapidly growing handmade market.
I was bit by the sewing bug at the age of six and have never since given up this lifelong passion. I also fell into the color pool of African fabrics while living in France. For the first time in my life, I had worked with a colorful durable fabric that was easy to handle with endless creative possibilities.
I decided to sell fabrics and sewing supplies alongside my fashion designs for those who wished to go their own creative way. Additionally, I chose to sell African fabrics by the yard, as they always were sold by 6 yards, so that every one could have access to a piece of this wonderful material.
I have worked with African wax prints for the last 10 years and over the years have found these fabrics to be high quality durable cottons with impressive colors that do not run or fade.
I also discovered the quirky digital designs by Stenzo printed on high quality Oeko-Tex standard 100% cotton Jersey Fabric. Although these were not a part of my commercial fashion collection, they rapidly became a family favorite personal line of clothing !
Over the years, I have experimented with different qualities of fabric but only the best tested brands are sold in my store so you don't have to do the hard work of finding the cream of the crop !
