Hello, I am a Communication Designer living and working in Berlin, Germany. I was born half german half lebanese in 1984 in Munich and then grew up from the age of 3 in the North of Lebanon. As well as learning German at home from my mother, I was taught Arabic, English, and abit of French in School. In the Year 2006 I moved back to Germany where I studied and later freelanced as a graphic designer. On a trip to Lebanon, I re-noticed the oriental and very graphicly-patterned tiles i had grown along all these years. Some of these tiles were in old ruins on the coastline or in some old, restorated restaurants. They were all so old and yet they looked so modern! This, in a brief way, made me realize how strong and timeless patterns can be which eventually led me to creating Colorblind Patterns. Now, living in Berlin since 2008, I have my own small shop/atelier in the Antwerpener Street 46 where I find time and place to work on my young label, Colorblind Patterns.
