On a journey
My foray into jewelry making started as a hobby when I retired from a Finance career with a major corporation .
I have always had an artistic streak but it lay dormant for many years while I was working. I took art classes and did watercolor painting and Japanese brushpainting in my spare time, and thought that was what I would be doing in retirement.
When a friend showed me a necklace she had made a long time ago, I was hooked and started buying jewelry making supplies.
Little did I know that making jewelry would turn into a passion; it started with beads and went on to metalsmithing.
I believe that "Less is More". My goal is to create jewelry with understated elegance, earthy and bold.
Largely self taught, I will need another lifetime to reach the level of expertise I would like to reach but meanwhile I enjoy my journey.
I take pride in my work. If the result is not good enough for me, then it is not good enough to list in my shop.
