Colour Harmony Designs is a home-based business in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada.

I have 2 eager helpers in my children, Hannah and Carter, and an incredibly supportive (and tolerant) husband, Mike who helps out too! We work together as a team, in life and in business!

I spent most of my professional life (almost 20 years) as a corporate leader in the insurance world. I loved projects where I could work with people, use my creativity, or play with spreadsheets or technology. While my job did afford me some of those opportunities over the years, there was a lot of "other stuff" that just didn't fit.

I have always been crafty. It started with digital scrapbooking 16 years ago. Shortly after, I started designing shirts for myself and as gifts (I would have them printed by those big shops where you can submit your design online). Once I had a daughter, I went from shirts to hair bows (again, for my daughter or for gifts). It took me more than 10 years to realize that I could turn my craftiness into a business.

It was a no-brainer, really. I spent most of my corporate career doing 3 main things: 1) Providing stellar customer service (and coaching others on how to do the same), 2) Leveraging my creativity and outside-the-box thinking, and 3) working with technology to solve business problems. Really, what more do you need to be able to run a successful business, right?

After much consideration (and saving), I quit my corporate job and jumped into the entrepreneur life full-time so I could dedicate myself to this business, as well as my other business as an independent cosmetics distributor.

So this is where I'm at - chasing my dream of being my own boss, being accessible to my family whenever and wherever they need me, and doing what I love so that work doesn't feel like work.
