Frequently asked questions

Why do you use rainbows in your artwork?

Good question! The rainbows in my illustrations represent a calm after a storm/something beautiful during difficult times. 🌈

What is a spoonie?

The Spoon Theory was made by Christine Miserandino in 2003 to explain the way fatigue impacts chronically ill people's lives. When trying to describe how fatigue affects her to a friend, Christine used spoons to show how her energy decreases with each activity she does. You'd start the day with 10 spoons and each activity would take a few. For example, getting out of bed and dressed would use up 3 spoons, cooking dinner would take 2, having a shower would take 5 and so on - when your spoons run out, you aren't able to do any other activities in that day. 🥄
