Care instructions
I chose this material not only because it’s incredibly soft but also because it is machine washable!
All you need to do is pop it in the wash (without the leather tag) on the gentle cycle using cold water and lay it flat to dry.
(No heat- nothing in the dryer).
I like to lay it out on my kitchen table with a towel underneath and flip it over after a few hours. It works great!

Does this material shed?
It doesn't! It's one of the many reasons I love working with chenille. It's fibers are locked in tight to the core strand so they don't come off and shed!
Do I need to know how to knit to make a DIY Blanket Kit?
Short answer - nope! No knitting skills are needed. Our kits are designed for all levels including beginner.
Each Blanket In A Box kit comes with everything you will need to make a chunky knit blanket of your own. This includes an easy-to-follow video tutorial that walks you through each step.
Can my baby sleep with a chunky knit blanket?
