I began sewing at an early age inspired by my mother who was a professional seamstress. The sound of the sewing machine was a common background noise throughout my childhood. Naturally, I began experimenting with the machine and creating small items for dolls and toys.
As a young adult, I purchased my first sewing machine at a neighborhood garage sale. I immediately began re-upholstering an old couch given to my husband and I. As children came along, I spent their nap times making children's clothing and blankets.
Later, a friend introduced me to quilting and I was hooked. I loved the piecing and designing involved in creating beautiful designs. Textile art soon became my favorite kind of crafting.
While homeschooling my children over seven years and involvement in a homeschool co-op, I noticed a need for more elective classes. I began teaching the basics of sewing to five middle school students and discovered the pleasure of sharing something I love. Participating in the growth and develop of a lifelong skill has been my reward.
Presently, I'd like to share my handcrafted designs with you and hope they bring you as much joy as I experienced in making them!

5 out of 5 starsThis bag is beautiful! Buttery soft and large enough to hold wallet, sunglasses, 2 pouches, AirPods, a book and a lot more. The pattern on the inside is gorgeous. I just love it. 100/10 will buy more bags.
