Hand cast concrete and plaster home and garden art
Concretedesignstudio started on Jan. 12th of 2013 and it consists of 1 employee, who is also the owner,designer and maker.I started my art 24 years ago in Toronto. In the beginning, I started using simple materials to make bird baths made of moss and clay.I took the ability to draw pictures and from high school and honed my craft using modeling clay, bark,fabric,live plants,etc. Over the last 24 years I have designed,reinterpreted over 400 pieces,from bird baths,to planters,tiles,gargoyle statuary,Buddha Statuary,animal statuary ,incense burners,male and female faces,and stepping stones and more.I am inspired by many periods in time from Greek to Roman,to Medieval, to African, Asian and Celtic and Egyptian.I am also inspired by life around me and my imagination is always working over time and thinking outside the box is a huge part of my creative process.In my store you will find just a small collection of some of my very favorite pieces. Each piece is individually cast in a special hand made mold which helps to maintain the original detailing.
