Having 3 teenage sons about to venture off to Uni, I decided to make each of them a personalised cushion, using the same fabrics, but with a design that was as unique as they were.

Demands from teen nieces and nephews rapidly ensued, plus requests for christenings, birthdays and several Uni cushions - so the Coneela Designs journey began.

The cushions are all made from 100% cotton, although occasionally when a desired look is required, I will add piping or a letter in a recyclable viscose or polyester - helping to reduce landfill.

Cushions are posted in a biodegradable plastic bag for protection and then wrapped in recycled brown paper. They include a cushion pad so the gift is ready to go

I bought two cushions for my sister, one for her new born and this one for her 2 year old. I loved the idea of it not only being cuddly and personal, but promoting shapes and counting meant it was also educational.
