Metalsmithing gave my life meaning; I’m passionate about instructing classes on fabrication. I put my heart and soul into every handmade piece.
My name is Morgan, I'm the owner of The Copper Paisley. A Salt Lake City aspiring silversmith and instructor. I'm passionate about teaching metalsmithing classes, designing and hand fabricating artisan-made jewelry since 2008. Specializing in hand-stamped jewelry and personalized accessories. Forged silver & copper jewelry with semiprecious gemstones, artisan cut turquoise and one of a kind custom designs that hold special meaning.
As the Copper Paisley, I started metalsmithing with hand fabrication of mixed metals for stamped jewelry in 2008 with curiosity and not knowing it would become a life long passion and career for me. Taking fine art workshops across the country with some of the best-known goldsmiths in the industry to build my skill set and education of metalsmithing has taken 10 years of experience and equivalent to a degree of fine arts in silversmithing. Growing into wire wrapping, working with semi-precious metals, gold, sterling silver, copper, gemstones, enamels, glass, soldering, PMC, wax carving, casting, lapidary, riveting, cold connections, fold forming, stone setting, metal fabrication, chasing & repousse, hydraulic press forming, anticlastic and synclastic forming, shell-forming, assembly, patinas, hand fabricating tools, equipment distribution, forging steel, repair work, and complex metal forming with traditional silversmithing methods, and how to successful run and operate a business.
Throughout the years of building my skillset and funding my studio equipment with experience of working one on one with clients to create one of a kind keepsakes such as heirloom memorial jewelry, has brought a lot of enjoyment and passion to my work. Experience with fashion designers in runway shows as a designer of the year, and charitable group projects with united metalsmiths. Along with selling at local boutiques, gift shops, salons, galleries, consignment shops, yearly farmer's markets, sold on Etsy and our website. We can be found online under the CopperPaisley.
