Difficulty System Explanation

My difficulty rating system is designed to help you pick a puzzle that's right for you. It is up to you to determine what your skill level may be, as these ratings are only guidelines.

Intuitive - Solving the puzzle is fairly clear, and twisty puzzles at this level do not require many algorithms if any. You can usually figure these out with your wits alone. Great puzzles for someone who has never solved a Rubik's Cube.

Beginner - The solve will be partly intuitive, possibly part algorithms if it's a twisty puzzle. Great puzzles for someone who has just solved or is working on solving a Rubik's Cube.

Intermediate - You'll need experience in algorithms for twisty puzzles or strategies for tanglements and other puzzles. Good for someone with a lot of experience looking for a challenge.

Advanced - Not only will you need to know general algorithms for twisties or strategies for other puzzles, but you may need to make up a few of your own.

Additionally, if a plus (+) appears after the difficulty rating, it is indicative that the item is more challenging than the average item in that difficulty category. If you're looking for a decent challenge at your skill level, look for the plus!

Frequently asked questions

What do I do if an item I purchased doesn't function correctly?

Contact me through Etsy. I will make arrangements for repairs, replacement, or refunds at my discretion. Please provide as many details about the product and how it is not functioning. Pictures of the item are encouraged.

What do I do if I need spare parts?

Contact me through Etsy. Although I cannot guarantee availability of spare parts, I will attempt to help. Shipment of spare parts needed due to normal wear and tear may be at your expense, however, spare parts can be added to qualifying future orders at no additional cost.

Where can I find solutions to puzzle products?

Some puzzles come with printed paper solutions. If your puzzle did not come with a solution, you can request a digital solution by contacting me through Etsy. Please include the name of the puzzle(s) you need help with.

What if I just want a hint?

I will be happy to provide hints via contacting me through Etsy. Please include the name of the puzzle(s) you need help with, and any steps you've completed so far.

Can I write or make video reviews about your products?

You certainly can. If you make a review on a social media platform or website, I would be happy to hear about it. I take all feedback from my customers very seriously, and I want to know when you love my products.

There's a slick fluid on some of my prints, what is this?

Some of my products have moving parts that are sensitive to friction. In some cases they are lubricated with a minor amount of water-based lubrication.

I have a broken product, but I don't want to throw it away. What should I do?

Although working puzzles are not typically thrown away, I am committed to reducing waste from my products. If you have a product that has broken, you may be able to have it repaired. Even if the product is broken by your own actions, I would prefer to help you repair it if at all possible. As a last resort, if you wish to have the item replaced, I may be able to offer you a take-back service, such that the broken product can be repaired or at the very least salvaged for the working parts. Please contact me through Etsy to see if arrangements are possible.
