The corncrake is a protected bird. It is very shy, so it is difficult to spot it, but it can also make loud, characteristic warning sounds. In the place where my studio is located, corncrakes can be seen every day. I see corncrakes more often than my neighbors, maybe because I live quite far from the latter. If you would like to visit me, when you pass the "end of the world" sign, turn right and drive straight for another 5 kilometers.
