I Couldn't Find It. So I Built It.
History has been my thing for as long as I can remember. I majored in it in college — not because it seemed practical, but because I couldn't imagine studying anything else. Since then I've chased it everywhere: historical sites, battlefields, museums, archives. My bookshelves embarrass me. I've read the biographies, the primary sources, the footnotes. I've stood where things happened and tried to feel the weight of it.
And then my wife and I started homeschooling our four kids — and I ran headfirst into a problem. The history resources available for elementary students were either too thin to be interesting or too dense to be readable. I kept thinking: these kids deserve the real story. Not a sanitized paragraph. Not a worksheet. A narrative — the kind that makes you want to know what happened next.
So I built it myself.
Cornerstone History modules are what I wish had existed when I started. Each one tells the story of a real person — their childhood, their struggles, their decisions, and what they left behind. Written for independent homeschoolers, built around the same activities every time so your student always knows what to expect.
I'm a history guy who homeschools. These are made for families like mine — and like yours.
Welcome to Cornerstone History.
