CountedLines is a small design studio creating modern cross stitch patterns inspired by art, geometry, and contemporary design.
I started this shop because I love the meditative process of cross stitch — but often struggled to find patterns that felt visually refined. So I began creating patterns myself.
Each design in the shop is carefully composed to translate well into stitches — balancing color, structure, and rhythm so the finished piece feels like a small work of art rather than just a craft project.
All patterns are digital downloads (PDF) and include:
• a clear color chart
• a DMC thread list
• easy-to-follow symbols
The collection includes several directions:
• designs inspired by famous artworks
• geometric and abstract compositions
• and custom patterns created from photographs
My goal is simple: to make cross stitch feel modern, beautiful, and enjoyable — whether you are a beginner or an experienced stitcher.

2 out of 5 starsI have to say, I'm disappointed with these cupcake charts. They printed with no problem, but the colors are off. I'm doing mini's, and started with the second cupcake, and the over all affect is a dark outline with filled in colors, browns on the chart are more yellow than brown. For example, the cupcake base is shades of yellow and white which makes the design flat. I do not plan to finish the piece. Also random confetti stitches make a simple piece more complex than it needs to be. Sorry, wanted to like this one!

I do my best to ensure that the preview accurately represents the stitched design, but I understand that color perception and personal preferences can vary, especially with small designs and different thread brands or fabric counts.
