Yes, I do charge shipping. Shipping costs can vary widely depending on where you're located in relation to me, the size of your order, and many other factors as well. As such, it is nearly impossible for me to set my products at a price that will always cover shipping, and I find it easier for both me and my customers to simply rely upon Etsy's calculated shipping costs for each individual order.

It takes me anywhere from 1-2 business days to ship an order. I always try to ship an order as soon as I get it, however orders that are placed late in the day, or during major storms (as are fairly common in Florida), may take slightly longer to ship. If I ever took longer than two business days to ship your order, it would only be due to extenuating circumstances, and I would be in contact with you as soon as possible about your order.

I currently do not keep a large inventory of most products stocked, as my shop is still small. The number of products a given listing says I have in stock is the actual number. However, I am open to large custom orders, and a couple quick messages would be plenty to work something out.

Care for any wooden product I make can be as easy or as difficult as you want it to be. The easiest care would be to wipe the pen down with a clean cloth every once in a while to removed built-up grime. The most complex would be a complete refinishing every year and a half, which is more trouble than it's worth to most people. I recommend the occasional wipe-down as a bare minimum, then an occasional - every six months or so - touch up with a small amount of 100% pure tung oil (NOT tung oil finish), which can be easily found on woodworking websites and Amazon. Simply take a paper towel or napkin, apply a small amount of tung oil, and wipe the pen down. Let sit for a minute, then wipe off the excess with a clean napkin, and you're done!

I get most of my wood from Craft Supplies USA, who in turn get their wood from sustainable suppliers. I also get most of my hardware and other supplies from them as well.
