Hi there! 👋 I’m Jalekis, the maker and founder behind Cozy Thread & Custom—your cozy corner for personalized blankets, hats, and tees that wrap you in comfort and personality.
My love for fabrics and stitching started long before this shop existed. As a kid, I’d sit beside my mom on her old wooden sewing table, watching her turn plain cotton into quilts for our family, or embroider names on backpacks for my cousins. Those afternoons smelled like lavender (her favorite sachet scent) and felt like magic—turning something ordinary into something that held memories, something that felt yours. That spark never faded. For years, I made custom pieces for friends and family: a blanket stitched with a newborn’s name, a hat printed with a hiking crew’s inside joke, a tee for a best friend’s birthday. Every time someone lit up when they saw their idea come to life, I knew I wanted to share that feeling with more people.
And so, Cozy Thread & Custom was born—right out of my sunlit home studio, where my mom’s old sewing machine still sits front and center, surrounded by spools of soft yarn, piles of breathable cotton, and sketchbooks filled with custom design ideas.
What inspires me? You. The couple wanting a blanket for their first home, the student needing a hat that shows off their favorite band, the parent hunting for a one-of-a-kind tee for their kid’s first day of school. Your stories, your little joys, your unique vision—they’re the reason I do what I do. This isn’t just about sewing or printing; it’s about turning your ideas into something you can hold, wear, and love for years.
Here’s how I bring your vision to life: Every order starts with a chat. I’ll ask about your favorite colors, the font you love, the tiny details that make your idea yours (no detail is too small—seriously, even if you want a tiny star stitched on the corner of a blanket, I’m here for it). Then, I handpick the softest, most durable materials—because what’s the point of a custom piece if it isn’t cozy enough for lazy Sundays or tough enough for playground adventures? I stitch, print, and finish every piece myself, no mass production, no shortcuts. And just like my mom did, I add a tiny hidden detail to every blanket (a little heart, a single initial) — a secret stamp of love that only you’ll know about.
