How do I open my files?
Most digital download files are zipped / compressed to reduce the size of the file. You will need to unzip them before you can view and open individual files. Modern Mac and Windows computers should automatically unzip these for you.
▶ On a Mac you simply double click the zip file.
▶ On a Windows PC you need to right-click and select ‘extract all’.
▶ If you don't have an unzipping program already installed on your computer then a quick
Google search will give you lots of free options to open your zip file.
Each file type can be opened using the appropriate software. It is your responsibility to check before ordering that you have the correct software to be able to open and use the downloaded files.
Why so many different file types?
Our files have a wide variety of potential uses:
Vector file types (SVG, DXF & EPS) are used for cutting machines, and for specialist vector graphics software such as Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw and Inkscape. These designs can be resized very easily using the appropriate software, and can be enlarged infinitely without any loss of quality.
Digital Images: JPG & PNG are the most common format for pixel graphics. These can be used in nearly all graphics software, and are ideal for printing or on-screen display. These files can be reduced in size easily, but lose quality when enlarged beyond their native resolution. PNG files allow the image to have a transparent background. This is very helpful when you want to overlay your images.
Are there any general restrictions on use?
You, the user, are solely responsible for determining if the images or phrases used in any designs are trademarked or have any legal limitations for your intended usage. You agree to utilize CraftStar designs in accordance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws. CraftStar is not liable for any infringement or penalty that results from improper or illegal use.
Distribution or sharing of any file, in whole or in part, is strictly forbidden. Alteration of the file by removing or adding content does not void this restriction.
What are the terms of our Commercial Use Policy?
We allow small scale commercial use of our designs by individuals or entities with three or fewer employees. Each design purchased may be used to create a maximum of 100 physical products. Each product must be manufactured by you the license holder, and may not be subcontracted to another party.
Any commercial use of downloaded files must be in compliance with our commercial use policy. The commercial license is attributed to the individual or entity making the purchase from Etsy. It is not transferrable.
There a number of important exclusions to our Commercial Use Policy that are outlined in the question below.
What are the exclusions in our Commercial Use Policy?
❌ You MAY NOT redistribute our designs in digital format, or offer for sale a digital file that includes any of our designs, in whole or in part.

Can you alter a design for me?
Due to the nature of our business we do not offer a custom design service.
