Frequently asked questions
Can I sell items made from this pattern?
All patterns are original creations and copyright of CraftTimeInArkham. These patterns are for personal use only, a finished product is a derivative work and no amount may be sold without permission from the copyright owner. If you would like to sell your finished products, whether for charity or profit, you must get permission from CraftTimeInArkham. Redistribution of CraftTimeInArkham's patterns in any form is not permitted.
What count/size aida cloth should I use?
That is a matter of personal preference and it depends on what size you want your final piece to be. I give the stitch count in all of the product descriptions so that you can figure out what final size will work best for your project.
To figure out your final size take the stitch count provided and divide it by the count of aida you wish to use (example, 54 stitches on 18 count aida will be approximately 3 inches when stitched) .
How many strands of thread/floss should I use?
Most stitchers use 2 strands of floss on 14 or 18 count aida. This standard can change with how large or small your aida count is.
But, really it's as many or as few as you want. This is completely up to you, the stitcher. If you want a color packed, very full looking piece, use more threads. If you want very clean X's and background cloth showing between, use less.
Help! I can't find the pattern files I purchased!
If you are having difficulties locating the files you have purchased, try following this url to an Etsy help article which may be able to aid in troubleshooting the problem.

Please keep in mind, files may only be downloaded from the Etsy website. They are unable to be accessed from the Etsy app.
Are CraftTimeInArkham patterns compatible with the Pattern Keeper app?
Yes, as of April 2021, they are! There will be 2 versions of every pattern available to download after purchase. One will be named with the pattern name, like "patternname.pdf", this one is my normal pattern format. The second one will be named with "pk" at the end, like "patternname_pk.pdf". This second one should work with the Pattern Keeper app. Please bear in mind that the Pattern Keeper app does not display back stitch lines properly. So, if the pattern you have purchased uses back stitch the app will not display it correctly. I am not affiliated with the Pattern Keeper app or its makers. Please contact the makers of the app for any issues with its use.
