Years of crafting and creating as well as a degree in Costume Design has helped me develop a little company that suits me~
I began this journey focusing on sustainably made, eco-friendly items. I have a passion for eliminating waste when I can and wanted to create resources for other people to do the same. I've been vegan for years and it's been important for me to reduce my carbon footprint as much as I could so I use just about all my products myself as well.
It wasn't long before I narrowed down to the girly eco items; and thus I created the word: Eco-Barbie.
In my own experience, it isn't easy to find eco-friendly items that are pink, sparkly, and/or floral - they're usually neutral colors and focus more on the natural looking woods and succulents. While I like those things, they never screamed ME. Pink is one of my favorite colors! It's a shame that there aren't more girly eco-friendly items because I know there must be other people out there that also want their metal straws to be rose gold and their reusable (un)sponges to have daisy patterns on them. But when in need, I've made it my mission to cater to my fellow eco-Barbies! I'm always coming up with new ideas and new items to help make it possible to be both girly and sustainable - from cotton accessories, to items made with scraps that would have otherwise been thrown away, to products made with recycled materials, and of course the root of all things - reusable items that take the place of something disposable. Crafted by Z will make the eco-Barbie life possible!
