A Better Way
Hi, I'm Kevin.
I started this shop in large part as a tribute to someone who once shared an idea with me.
The idea was that describing oneself as “crafting” can carry a double meaning: one who creates while still being created.
When I invented a new product, I wanted to build the business around that philosophy.
So I worked backwards and asked myself: what does the finished version of me look like?
Probably a lot like what I do here—breaking things down to first principles and then rebuilding a better product. But for the work to mean anything, it had to be in service of something greater than myself.
In other words, I want my eulogy to say: “He found a better way for himself and others.”
Since I started this journey, I’ve been fortunate to have tremendous support from the EDC community. I’m frankly overwhelmed with gratitude that my products have become something of a staple.
